A play based on the life of former Premier Golda Meir will be produced on Broadway next year by the Theater Guild. This was announced at a press conference today at Beit Sokolow by Mrs. Meir and Philip Langner, president of the Guild. The play will be based on Mrs. Meir a autobiography. “My Life,” which has been printed in five languages.
The former Premier said she hoped the stage production would enable more people to understand the aims and dreams that resulted in the founding of Israel and its subsequent history. Langner, who expressed his enthusiasm for the production said that a playwright will be selected shortly and that a search is already underway for an actress to play Mrs. Meir.
