"Moral will, a free intelligence and sympathetic imagination," are the moral concepts which result in justice, according to Rabbi Samuel H. Goldenson, of Congregation Emanu-El, who spoke on "Justice" yesterday before about one hundred students of Columbia University and Teachers College at Milbank Chapel, Teachers College.
Dr. Goldenson emphasized the need for the use of the same kind of unbiased, open-minded intelligence in dealing with our neighbors as is used in scientific investigations.
He also pointed out the "need for a change from the wishful to the sacrificial attitude," and "a feeling of personal responsibility toward those who live in need, in pain and amid threats."
