“This year’s campaign is going to be bigger and more intensive than any previous Federation drive in the Bronx,” said Albert Goldman, acting postmaster and general chairman of the Bronx Division of the Federation of Jewish Charities, announcing new officers and committee men for the Bronx Division of the 1934 Federation campaign.
“To save Federation’s ninety-one affiliated social welfare agencies is a job which will make bigger demands on our time and energy—and we will make bigger demands for generous contributions from our friends, associates and ourselves than in any Federation drive during the last many years,” he stated.
The Bronx quota in the drive is $250,000.
Goldman announced that Felix M. Warburg has accepted an invitation to be guest of honor at the annual Bronx division dinner.
New members of the Bronx division are: Gerard M. Bloomfield, J. J. Boneparth, Stanley Garten, Herbert Isler, William Kaufman, A. Louis Kiebel, George Klavans, Herbert Lowenthal, David Pasmantier, David Rose, Max Schonberg, Murray L. Spies, Samuel Spiselman, Alex Sussman and Morris Wolkenberg.
