American Jewry’s hopes that the Allied Powers will be instrumental in securing normal rights for Jews in post-war Europe were conveyed to Premier Paul Reynaud and Colonial Minister Georges Mandel by Dr. Nahum Goldmann, chairman of the World Jewish Congress administrative committee, following his return from a visit to the United States and South America.

In reporting to the French leaders on American Jewish sentiments towards the Allies, Dr. Goldmann also discussed with them the subject of Jewish problems arising from the war situation.
