Dr. Nahum Goldmann, president of the World Jewish Congress, arrived here today from Israel for a three-week visit to the United States. He was joined here by Dr. Gerhart M. Riegner, Secretary-General of the WJ Congress. Dr. Goldmann will address several meetings during his stay. His schedule includes an address to the Council on Foreign Relations, lectures at Harvard and Princeton, and a report to the Plenary Council of the American Section of the WJ Congress. He will visit Washington for discussions with a number of prominent personalities.
Dr. Goldmann will attend the opening session in Montreal of the Plenary Assembly of the Canadian Jewish Congress on Saturday night. Sunday morning he will be the speaker at a memorial session to the late Samuel Bronfman, one of the creators of the CJC and for more than two decades its guiding spirit. Bronfman was also a vice-president of the WJ Congress.
