Sir Osmond D’Avigdor Goldsmid, chairman of the administer#tive committee of the Jewish Agency, may be prevented by sudden illness from coming to New York to attend committee sessions which open there on December 31, it was learned here today.
The other four Zionist and non-Zionist members of the committee will proceed to the United States next Tuesday, it was announced. The non-Zionists will be represented by Neville Laski and Dr. Maurice Hexter. The Zionists will be represented by Professor Brodetsky and Berl Locker.
If Sir Osmond recovers from his illness in sufficient time, he will make the trip as previously scheduled, it was explained.
