Sir Osmond d’Avigdor Goldsmid, president of the Jewish Colonization Association and chairman of the Council of the Jewish Agency, sailed for New York today, together with Louis Oungre, director of the J.C.A. in Paris.

The two distinguished Jewish leaders will confer with American-Jewish leaders on a number of important questions concerning the situation of the Jewish refugees in Europe.

Dr. Bernard Kahn, European director of the American Joint Distribution Committee, who was scheduled to sail with Sir Osmond and Mr. Oungre, will follow them next week. Urgent matters which required his remaining in Paris prevented him from sailing today.
