A good harvest which will exceed the returns in previous years is expected in the Jewish colonies this year, declared Dr. Joseph Rosen, director of the work of the Agro-Joint in Russia, who has just returned from a tour of the colonies in Crimea and Ukrainia. The only exception to the good harvest report is in the Kalinindorf region where the local Jewish Communists have reduced the Jewish colonists to such a condition during the enforced collectivization period that a considerable time will elapse before the impoverished colonists there can return to normality.
