The government expenditures for the fiscal year ending March, 1932 amounted to 2,403,235 pounds, while the revenue was in the amount of 2,442,083, pounds, according to an announcement in the official gazette yesterday.
The announcement points out that the revenue exceeds by the sum of 108,188 pounds its revenue in 1931.
On the first of April, the government surplus was 739,772 pounds.
The expenditures of the government were in the following directions: Development Department,£6701; Transjordan Frontier force,£183,405; police,£457,737; Defence,£102,000; Education,£158,742; Health,£115,002.
The revenue includes Britain’s grant in aid for the Transjordan force which amounts to£143,00.
The government had a deficit in 1931 in the amount of£40,971.
