The Commonwealth Government has granted $310,000 toward the construction of a Jewish residential college on the campus of the University of New South Wales, it was announced here. The balance of the total cost, estimated at $620,000, will be raised by the College Foundation under the chairmanship of Prof. De Val Davis. The Jewish residence will be built adjacent to similar colleges of the Anglican and Roman Catholic faiths. It will provide food for about 80 Jewish live- in students and will house facilities for Jewish student organizations and the campus Hillel branch.
