Both Jews and Cuzist students are guilty in connection with the recent anti-Semitic incidents at Targufromos, says a report of a government inspector who investigated the clash. His report has been submitted to the Minister of the Interior. The report also finds the police guilty of maltreating the nine Jews who were arrested following the incident.
In the meantime the president of the Roumanian parliament has asked Professor Alexander Cuza, anti-Semitic chief, to withdraw his declaration made in Parliament that “education in the Jewish schools is of a criminal spirit” Professor Cuza’s statement had aroused great bitterness among the Jews and Dr. William Filderman, president of the Union of Roumanian Jews had submitted a memorandum on the matter to the president of Parliament.
