A project to proclaim Palestine as a republic is now being discussed in London political circles, reports “Alnida,” an important Arab daily, appearing here.

The paper, which claims its information comes from reliable sources, states that a Palestine republic would not include Transjordania.

According to the project, a Parliament would be established with its seats divided proportionately among the different groups comprising the population of Palestine.

A law code for the country would be worked out by Parliament in co-operation with the mandatory, according to the project, states the Arab publication.
