Government Takes Measures to Stop Hoof and Mouth Disease

The dread hoof and mouth disease has broken out in the Safed, Jericho and Nazareth districts of Palestine and is simultaneously reported prevalent in Syria, Egypt and Transjordania. The Government is taking drastic steps to prevent the spread of the disease and has imposed regulations concerning the shipping and importation of animals to and from adjoining territories. Officials are also reported to be ordering the killing of all affected animals.
