Despite appeal from Cabinet. Ministers to moderate their action, some 20,000 government workers in Israel today remained adamant in their thweat to strike for two hours tomorrow in protest against delays in settling their grievances.
At a meeting of the top policy-making committee of the Government Employees Association it was decided to make a last-minute attempt to settle outstanding issues at a meeting with Finance Minister Eliezer Kaplan. Yesterday, Labor Minister Golda Myerson appealed to the union to hold off its action until at least December 28, a week beyond its present deadline.
