Governor Herbert H. Lehman officially inducted more than 1,000 new members into Grand Lodge District No. 1 of B’nai B’rith tonight at the Manhattan Center, in ceremonies climaxing the first phase of the organization’s Century Membership Campaign. The new members, designated as “the Lehman class,” includes the Governor’s son, Peter.
About 6,000 members of B’nai B’rith, its auxiliaries and youth organizations attended. Henry Monsky, national president, was among those present.
