A plea for greater interest in exploration in Palestine under Jewish auspices was made by Dr. Cyrus Adler at the Founders’ Day celebration of Dropsie College for Hebrew and Cognate Learning held last night.
Dr. Adler, President of the college, also made an appeal for a fund of $25,000 to be devoted to the publication of scholarly works. He had, he said, six such works in his possession which should be published.
Mr. Morris Wolf in his address described his recent travels through Egypt, Palestine and Iraq.
The degree of Doctor of Philosophy was conferred upon Solomon Leon Skoss, William H. Chonsky and Samuel Sussman.
The Alumni of the college held a meeting under the Presidency of Doctor Harry Linfield.
