Government authorities were today engaged in restoring order in the Jewish suburbs of Ayasofia, Ayaparaskevi and Neapolis, which yesterday were the scenes of violent anti – Semitic disturbances. Police arrested a number of rioters.
The anti-Semitic mob rushed through the streets of the districts attacking Jewish pedestrians. Stones smashed windows of a Jewish school and of many stores. In Neapolis, a Jewish druggist named Moise was severely injured.
