Greece’s foreign minister condemned anti-Semitism and extended condolences to Jews after the recent attacks on Turkish synagogues. In a letter to the World Jewish Congress drafted Saturday, George Papandreou said that if indeed there is a resurgence of anti-Semitism in Europe, then Europe must tackle the problem actively. Critics recently have accused the Greek media and government of fostering a climate that engenders anti-Semitism.
