King Paul of Greece today signed a governmental decree transferring Jewish heirless property to a Jewish foundation the relief and rehabilitation of needy Greek Jews, it was announced here today by the American Jewish Committee.
Dr. John Slawson, executive vice-president of the A.J.C., who is presently in Paris, en route to Israel, wired appreciation to Greek Prime Minister Themistocles Sephoulis for the decree which constitutes the culmination of efforts in this direction of the A.J.C., the World Jewish Congress, the Jewish Agency and the Jewish National Fund. The property involved is estimated to be worth $5,000,000.
