Michael Kyrkos, recently named minister of Assistance in the Tsaldaris cabinet, in a statement he issued at his inauguration ceremonies today, said among other things that he would devote special attention to the Jewish question here.
“In taking over the administration as Minister of Assistance,” he said, “I want to assure the Jewish population of the country that I will pay much interest to the Jewish question as I will devote to questions pertaining to the Macedonians and refugees.
“I feel keenly, in the interest of patriotism, the need for doing away with trouble between the Israelites and the refugees here.”
