Governmental relief for 100 Turkish Jewish families, refugees from Turkish Thrace, who were ousted when Turkish authorities forbade Jews to live within certain frontier areas, was promised here today by Greek Minister of the Interior Kyrkos.
A Jewish delegation visited the minister and asked for government help in caring for the refugees, who arrived in Salonica penniless. The Jewish community, he was informed, cannot provide food and shelter for the refugees.
