Greek paper: Obama win ends ‘Jewish domination’
A Greek newspaper wrote that Barack Obama’s victory signaled the end of “Jewish domination.”
The Anti-Defamation League said the newspaper “had taken a backward leap” and that the headline should serve as a wake-up call. The American Jewish Committee called the headline “vile and scurrilous.”
“It is imperative that elected officials and civil society leaders in Greece speak out forcefully against anti-Semitism,” the ADL’s national director, Abraham Foxman, said in a statement. “They must make clear that these dangerous canards have no place in society and that there can be no tolerance for hatred in Greece.”
