Disapproval of the action of the Sephardic Jews of Tel Aviv, who put up their own ticket in the municipal elections in that city, was voiced here by Renacencia D’Joudia, organ of the Greek Zionist Federation.

Condemning the action of the Sephardim, the paper said that all inhabitants of Palestine must vote according to their political and social beliefs and join parties which represent those beliefs. Creation of tickets which merely represent communities of origin is dangerous, the Greek Zionist paper said.

The famous seventeenth century diplomat and scholar Hugo Grotius corresponded with Mannasseh ben Israel on problems of Hebrew scholarship.
