William Green, president of the American Federation of Labor, today issued an official communication to subordinate organizations calling upon them to make effective by whatever means possible the boycott against German-made goods and German service which was adopted in the form of a resolution at the recent convention of the Federation.
The text of Mr. Green’s communication repeated the two counts upon which Germany was condemned by the Federation, which represents an aggregate of five million workers in the United States. They are:
1. “The utter destruction of the Trade Union Movement in Germany and the arrest of many of its officers.”
2. “The cruel treatment afforded the Jewish people.”
The boycott is to continue “until the German government recognizes the right of the working people of Germany to organize bona fide, independent trade unions of their own
