On the same day von Moltke, in referring to a letter purportedly written by a well known Jew and supposedly predicting Jewish world domination, admitted he must have been “taken in” by the document, which he claimed had been “planted” on him.

New and even more dramatic admission of the complete rout of the Grey Shirt anti-Semitic plot came on Aug. 7 when Olivier, editor of the Fascist group’s central organ, the Rapport, published an official statement announcing his resignation from the organization.

Interest was at a high pitch when the hearings in the civil suit for damages on a charge of defamation opened in Grahamstown on July 10.

Among those to testify was Dr. Nahum Sokolow, president of the Zionist World Organization and the Jewish Agency for Palestine, who is in South Africa on behalf of the Keren Hayesod, and whose evidence was reviewed in yesterday’s issue of the Jewish Daily Bulletin.
