Sami Groneman, well known author and playwright, a close friend of Dr. Theodor Herzl and member of the World Zionist Congress Court for many years, died in a hospital here today. He was 77 years old.
Born in Strassbourg, he studied in Germany and graduated from the Berlin University. He practiced law in Germany and emigrated to Israel shortly before the Nazis came to power. His plays were produced in Hebrew by the Habima and Ohel theatres here.
