A bronze sculpture, entitled “Mother Playing,” by the Jewish sculptor, Chaim Gross, was shipped today to Israel, where it will be on permanent display at the Mother and Child Pavilion of the Hadassah-Hebrew University Medical Center in Jerusalem.
According to an announcement by Mrs. Mortimer Jacobson, national president of Hadassah, the statute was a gift to the women’s Zionist organization from Morris and George Primotf, New York attorneys. Before being shipped to Israel, Mr. Gross’ work was exhibited at the World’s Fair.
