Ground was broken tonight at Ramle for the Theodore R. Racoosin Comprehensive High School, a project of the Israel Education Fund of the United Jewish Appeal.
Mr. Racoosin, a well-known American Jewish philanthropist, attended the ceremony as did Foreign Minister Abba Eban, the Mayor of Ramle, representatives of the Education Ministry and of the Jewish Agency. The school is one of 26 IEF projects under construction or in active planning throughout Israel in a major program to meet the country’s shortage of secondary schools.
