Ground has been broken here for the erection of a new Jewish Home for the Aged, at a cost of $125,000, on a lot of 200×131 feet. It will be constructed of fireproof brick and stone, two stories in height, with a basement. It will accommodate 45 aged men and women. There will be no dormitories, each person occupying a private single or double room. The most important feature of the building is the infirmary for the care of the sick and incurable cases, which will be set off as a separate unit, and will contain all the facilities of a modern miniature hospital.
