Groundbreaking for a synagogue at the site of the Auschwitz death camp is scheduled to take place Monday. The ceremony, which will be attended by several Holocaust survivors, will coincide with the 61st anniversary of Kristallnacht, the Nov. 9-10 pogrom in Germany and Austria. The synagogue will be the only one in the Polish town.
