A reception was held tonight for Zachariah Gluska, president of the (Yemenite) United Jewish Community of Palestine, at Temple Emannu-El under the auspices of the American Committee for Relief and Resettlement of Yemenite Jews, which is seeking to raise $50,000 for resettling Jews of Aden and Yemen in Palestine. Gluska is a citrus merchant and chairman of the Near East Credit Company.
Presiding at the reception was Mortimer J. Prop, chairman of the committee. Members of the executive committee include Rabbis David de Sola Pool, Samuel Golden-son, Milton Steinberg and Leo Jung, and Abraham Goldberg.
