Nineteen immigrants from the Soviet Union arrived here today by plane. They include Eric Behr who was kidnapped in 1948 in West Berlin and sentenced by the Soviet to five years’ imprisonment, most of which he spent in Siberia. After completing his term he asked for permission to leave for Israel. Another arrival today was Noel Bering, veteran Rumanian Zionist who participated in the first Zionist Congress. The 19 immigrants included Jews from Bessarabia and Lithuania.
