President Itzhak Ben Zvi today received a party of ten executive directors of American Jewish federations and welfare funds. The party arrived in Israel Friday from Paris where the community officials visited refugee, child and old age institutions maintained by United Jewish Appeal beneficiary agencies. The Americans were entertained at tea yesterday by Foreign Minister Golda Myerson and at a luncheon arranged by the Jewish Agency executive.
The delegation includes: Alvin Bronstein of Toledo, Ohio; George Friedman of Allentown, Pa.; Albert Hutler of San Diego, Calif. Louis Kousin of Elizabeth, N.J.; Osca, Mintzer of Indianapolis, Ind.; Leonard Serbanis, Canton, Ohio; Ralph Segalman, Waterbury, Conn.; Isidore Sollod, Baltimore; Louis Smith, Wilkes Barre, Pa., and Melvin Zaret, Milwaukee.
Dr. William Haber, now visiting Israel in his capacity as head of the American ORT organization, met with Minister of Finance Levi Eshkol here today. He is inspecting various ORT institutions in Israel, where over 3,000 youths learn various trades. He will also hold discussions with the Ministers of Labor and Education and with Jewish Agency leaders.
