A group of Italians who were formerly Catholics this week underwent religious rites including circumcision to become members of the Jewish faith, the magazine Time reports in its current issue. The Italians, known as the converts of San Nicandro, decided to renounce Catholicism for Judaism two years ago after a study of the Scriptures. They hope to live in Israel, eventually.
