Seven members of the United States Senate, visiting Israel for a four-day stay, were briefed on Israel’s security problems here today by Gen. Yitzhak Rabib, chief of staff of Israel’s defense forces.

The senators, headed by Sen. Wayne Morse, Oregon Democrat, arrived at Lydda Airport yesterday aboard a U.S. Air Force plane, accompanied by their wives. They were flown in an Israeli plane to Eilat, Israel’s southernmost city and the port for shipping to and from Asia and Africa, then spent the night here. They were entertained at lunch in Jerusalem today by Mrs. Golda Meir, Israel’s Foreign Minister.
