Willing to Go If His Presence Is Obstacle to Jewry’s Well Being (Jewish Telegraphic Agency)
Deputy Isaac Gruenbaum, president of the Club of Jewish Deputies, recently in clash with the present government over its attitude toward the demands of the Jewish population, is ready to resign from his position if the government’s policy is changed.
In a statement published in the “Nasz Przegland,” Polish Jewish daily, Deputy Gruenbaum declares that if his presence really is an obstacle in the way of the government for meeting the economic and cultural demands of the Jewish population, as the Minister of the Interior Skladkowski declared at the last session of the budget commission, he will resign. He concludes, however, by declaring: “We want action, not words.”
