The United Jewish Appeal today announced that Dr. Jorge Garcia Granados, former head of Guatemala’s delegation to the United Nations, who is now visiting Israel to survey the economic need there, will take part in this year’s $151,500,000 nationwide U.J.A. campaign on his return to the United States.
The announcement also said that Ezra Hadda, leader of the Jews of Iraq, whose mass movement to Israel last year was financed by the United Jewish Appeal, is now an route to the United States to visit many of the communities whose support of the U.J.A. made possible the rescue of thousands of Jews from Iraq.
