Israeli Air Force jets attacked guerrilla bases on the slopes of Mt.Her-mon in Lebanon for 30 minutes today and returned safely to their bases. The targets were in an area east of the Hasbani river known as “Fatah land” because of the guerrilla concentrations there. A military spokesman said the air attack was in response to an attack on Israeli soldiers from the area yesterday afternoon. Israeli Jets attacked guerrilla bases near Umm Sidra pass in the Jordan Valley Friday and returned safely to their bases. An Israeli soldier was wounded today when guerrillas in Lebanon fired mortars at Israeli positions in Upper Galilee. Kibbutz Sassa in Upper Galilee was shelled yesterday from Lebanese territory. It was the first time the settlement came under fire since the 1948 Arab-Israeli war. No casualties were reported. A military spokesman said 13 Arab guerrillas and saboteurs were killed in border clashes since last Thursday. Three were shot down near Nahal Arga- man settlement in the Jordan Valley and three others were killed north of Kuneitra in the Golan Heights yesterday. There were no Israeli casualties. An Arab youth from a Gaza refugee camp was killed Friday when a home-made bomb he was carrying exploded. Several bystanders were injured. An explosion damaged the railroad line in the Gaza Strip near Kahn Yunis yesterday. Several suspects have been detained. The Central Committee of Arab guerrilla organizations in Amman reported today that three guerrillas were killed and another was wounded in clashes with Jordanian Army regulars yesterday. One soldier was killed and two civilians were wounded in the clash.
