The House of Representatives, which suspended business on both days of Rosh Hashanah, will also suspend business on Yom Kippur out of respect for the holiday and the religious obligations of its Jewish members. Of the 435 House members, 12 are Jewish. The Senate, with 2 Jewish members, will remain open.
