Indemnity amounting to half a million marks was asked from the state of Prussia by Rudolf Haas, German Jewish merchant who was falsely accused of murder in an anti-Semitic conspiracy.

Mr. Haas presented his claim on the ground that the false accusation directed against him caused him damage and that many of his business relations have been broken off during the agitation.
