A three-year campaign in New York and Brooklyn for $2,500,000 for the Brooklyn Federation of Jewish Charities was launched Sunday night at a dinner given Nathan Jonas by Walter N. Rothschild.
The dinner was attended by about forty leaders of Jewish philanthropies in New York and Brooklyn. The campaign, which will be known as the “17-20 Anniversary Campaign,” will extend over a period covering the seventeenth and twentieth anniversaries of the federation.
A departure from custom will be taken in the present drive. While heretofore campaigns were confined to Brooklyn, Mr. Rothschild pointed out Brooklyn, as part of New York, rightfully may call for New York aid for Brooklyn institutions.
