The programs conducted by Hadassah, both in Israel and in the United States, will be evaluated at Hadassah’s two-day, mid-winter conference to be convened here Sunday, it was announced today by Mrs. Siegfried Kramarsky, national president of the organization.
The 200 top leaders of Hadassah, to attend the conference, will also evaluate the role of the Zionist movement in Jewish life today, Mrs, Kramarsky said. Following the conference, next Tuesday evening, 175 Hadassah leader will leave here for Israel, to inaugurate a series of events, scheduled to run through 1962, to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the founding of Hadassah.
Mrs. Rose Halprin, former national president of Hadassah, who is chairman of Hadassah’s 50th anniversary committee, will head the Golden Jubilee Mission to Israel, Among the major events in which the mission will participate will be the dedication, on February 6, of the 12 stained glass windows created by the famous artist, Marc Chagall, for the synagogue of the Hadassah-Hebrew University Medical Center on the outskirts of Jerusalem. Mr. Chagall will be in Israel to supervise installation of the windows.
