Hadassah announced here today that it has asked its Council in Palestine to “consider ways of setting up a joint planning committee of representatives of Hadassah and WIZO, the Women’s International Zionist Organization, so that both bodies may achieve a maximum of cooperation during the post-war period.”
The Hadassah also announced that Dr. Yehudah M. Bavly, deputy director and treasurer of the Hadassah Medical Organization in Palestine, died this week in the Rothschild-Hadassah-University Hospital, in Jerusalem, after a long illness. He was 41 years old. The national board of Hadassah, upon receipt of the news of his death, voted to appropriate $10,000 to establish the Bavly Medical Fund as a memorial.
