A coalition ticket of delegates to the World Zionist Congress in Prague this August, with half of the delegates named by the Zionist Organization of America and the other half named by Hadassah, appeared a certainty here today as the nominations and other committees of the American Zionist Convention met in preparation for the resumption of plenary sessions and elections tomorrow.
While the agreement of the Zionist Organization of America permitting Hadassah to fill half of the mandates apparently seems a victory for the latter group, which for a long time has been demanding equal voice with the former group on the strength of its numbers and contributions for the rebuilding of Palestine, it is understood that Hadassah has agreed to include on its ticket outstanding leaders of American Zionism, who otherwise would have been named by the Zionist Organization of America.
BRANDEIS-MACK GROUP
It is likely that a number of leaders representing the Brandeis-Mack group therefore will be named on the Hadassah slate.
Morris Rothenberg, president of the American Zionists, will be number one on the coalition ticket, it is understood.
