Hadassah announced yesterday that it has cabled $320,000 to the youth immigration department of the Jewish Agency.
This sum will provide the major share of funds needed for one year’s care of 700 Jewish children who arrived in Palestine several weeks ago on the liners Champollion and Cairo City. This brings Hadassah contributions to the youth immigration department to $935,000 since the beginning of 1946. The organization is pledged to raise $1,000,000 before September.
