About 2,500 Hadassah members arrived in Israel from the U.S. Sunday for a week of celebration marking the 75th anniversary of the women’s Zionist organization in America.
The are filling seven of Jerusalem’s largest hotels. A convoy of 50 buses will take them on tours of the country this week. Anniversary celebrations open officially Tuesday at Jerusalem’s Binyanei Hauma Convention Center.
The Nahum Goldmann Museum of the Diaspora in Tel Aviv is holding a special exhibition this week, titled “Women of Valor–The Story of Hadassah, 1912-1987.” It opens Monday with a festive ceremony to be addressed by Charlotte Jacobson, chairman of Hadassah’s 75th Anniversary year, and museum director Aharon Doron.
