The construction of two new model vocational education schools, planned and designed with the help of American authorities in the field, will mark the 10th anniversary of Hadassah’s vocational education program in Israel, it was announced here today by Hadassah headquarters.
One of the new buildings was formally opened in Israel by Dr. Miriam Freund, chairman, of Hadassah’s vocational program. Located in Romema. Jerusalem, the building will cost approximately $500,000 and will house the Precision Instruments and Printing School maintained by Hadassah. Dr. Freund presided also at the cornerstone laying of a new building for the Alice Seligsberg School in Jerusalem, which trains girls in the needle trades, commercial subjects and domestic science.
