The first laboratory in Israel for isotopic treatment has been opened at the Hadassah Hospital in Jerusalem, the London Daily Telegraph reported yesterday. It said the unit is equipped with Geiger counters from America and radioactive isotopes from the British atomic energy station at Harwell.
From Jerusalem it was reported that the first group of 62 Israeli physicians to be graduated from the Hadassah Hebrew University Medical School, which was opened three years ago, will receive their diplomas next month. The graduates received the first part of their training abroad, then served in the army during the War of Liberation before entering the Medical School. All of them plan to practice in Israel.
