Hadassah members from all parts of the State gathered at a regional conference yesterday at the Jersey City Community Center.
The following new officers were elected: honorary president, Miss Sarah Kussy of Newark; president, Mrs. Leon I. Rosenthal of South Orange; first vice-president, Mrs. Sol. Ben-Asher of Jersey City; second vice-president, Mrs. H. Holtzman of Elizabeth; recording secretary, Mrs. Charles K. Salte of Paterson; corresponding secretary, Mrs. Herman Rubin of Newark; treasurer, Mrs. L. J. Davidson of Jersey City.
The annual conference, which was attended by seventy-two delegates, was divided into morning and afternoon sessions, and dealt with membership and fund-raising problem and important committee reports. Miss Sarah Kussy, regional chairman, presided; Mrs. Samuel Schulsinger, of Newark, reported on education; Mrs. William Newcorn, of Plainfield, on child welfare, and Mrs. Leon J. Rosenthal, of Orange, on senior junior cooperation. Rabbi Leon Lang and Rabbi Benjamin Plotkin spoke.
Arrangements were in charge of the Jersey City Chapter of which Mrs. Benjamin Gross is president and Mrs. L. J. Davidson arrangements chairman.
