Hadassah has established 36 new health centers and is contributing enormously in the movement to improve Palestine health conditions, Dr. Judah I. Magnes, stated at a press conference.
Reporting on Hadassah’s emergency work, Dr. Magnes revealed that regular monthly meetings were being held between military and Hadassah physicians at which characteristic local diseases were discussed, and that efforts to establish close cooperation and understanding between the troops and the Jewish population were making progress.
Dr. Magnes reported also that 16,000 Jewish children were getting regular meals as a result of Hadassah efforts but that 18,000 more children need them.
